Your campsite in the Dordogne
By spending your holidays at our camping near Sarlat-la-Canéda, you won’t be short of ideas for days out. You can discover the many sides of the Périgord noir, and of Dordogne as a whole — a region in south-west France with exceptional heritage.
First comes nature. In particular the rivers, the Vézère and above all the Dordogne, inseparable from the département. Waterways to explore by bike or right on the water — whether by canoe-kayak, via ferrata or traditional barge. Perfect water-based activities for discovering the region in summer. Don’t miss other local treasures too, such as the Gouffre de Proumeyssac, the Grottes de Lascaux, and the forests that shape the landscape.
Dordogne is also a land deeply marked by the Middle Ages, as shown by the bastides and medieval villages of the Périgord. Visit some of the era’s most beautiful castles: Castelnaud, Beynac, des Milandes… Magical places that tell the turbulent past of a land once fought over by the crowns of France and England.
Your stay in Dordogne is also an opportunity to taste the Périgord terroir. Duck, truffles, Bergerac wines, ceps and walnuts… Enjoy memorable meals that will stay with you for a long time.
Finally, our campsite in Calviac-en-Périgord is close to the Lot département — making it easy to visit Rocamadour, for example, or the famous Gouffre de Padirac.
